HOLLAND DUPLEX

This thoughtfully designed duplex in Vancouver West was created to support multigenerational living, offering two distinct yet cohesive homes under one roof. The design embraces a clean transitional style, balancing classic elements with a modern sensibility to suit the needs of a growing, extended family. Comfort, function, and a sense of timelessness were key drivers behind every design decision.

Elegant moulding surrounds, refined architectural details, and a light, airy palette establish a sense of calm and openness throughout both units. Carefully selected darker accent tones and finishes are introduced to define focal areas, providing contrast and visual interest without overwhelming the serene interior mood.

Each unit was designed with its own character through the use of two complementary color schemes. One unit features a bold black-and-white contrast for a modern, graphic edge, while the other leans into soft grey tones for a more subtle and layered ambiance. Despite their individual palettes, both homes share a unifying design language rooted in warmth, livability, and quiet sophistication.

This duplex is not only a reflection of aesthetic harmony, but also a demonstration of how thoughtful interior design can foster connection, comfort, and lasting value for families living together across generations.
