PRIVATE RESIDENCE

This single-level modern Japanese residence was envisioned as a serene guest house and private retreat. Anchored by a spacious, open-concept layout, the living, kitchen, and dining areas seamlessly converge to create a fluid environment ideal for hosting and social connection. Textural large-format porcelain slabs were selected for both walls and floors, offering a refined material palette grounded in natural simplicity.

A minimalist interior color scheme sets the tone for calm and clarity, while sculptural feature lighting adds contrast and depth—highlighting spatial transitions and enriching the atmosphere. Accent lighting is strategically layered to define distinct zones and evoke a grounded, meditative mood throughout.

Expansive windows, thoughtfully integrated into the architectural composition, frame views of the surrounding zen garden and usher natural light into the central social space. A quiet corridor leads to three private bedrooms and a guest bathroom, concealed behind seamless wall panels, enhancing the sense of tranquility and spatial flow.
